Testimonial from author of Conversations with God

“The promise of tomorrow will be found in these pages. This collection of the wisdom of children shows us clearly that deep insight and wonderful clarity is not the sole property of adults. Indeed, it may be more prevalent in children than in those of us who are older. We can all draw inspiration from this wonderful and heart-warming [project].”

Children are Invited to Submit Their Ideas for

Making a Better World

“If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?”

That’s the question being posed to children all across the globe by author Randall D. Schultz. The responses are being posted on a website and compiled in a book entitled If I Could Change the World.

“I sincerely believe that the world won’t change—at least not for the better—unless we begin by thinking about how we can make positive changes,” said Schultz. “The trouble is, most adults have become too jaded to believe that they can do anything to make a positive change. That’s why I’m asking children all over the world this question:

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

And how would you begin?"

Kids from all over the world are submitting their ideas about the positive changes they’d like to make. In addition to individual responses from children of all ages, teachers have proven to be among best sources for submissions for the website and the upcoming book. Intrigued by the simple yet profound concept, teachers have assigned the “If you could change one thing in the world” question as a writing assignment to their students. According to Schultz, the results thus far have been “absolutely wonderful.”

Schultz invites all children (and all teachers to ask their students) to answer the questions, "If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be? And how would you begin?" Written essays and original artwork are welcomed. Submissions can be emailed to ideas@IfICouldChangetheWorld.net. Essays and artwork can also be snail-mailed to:
